  1. Blogging allows me to reflect and think more critically about my experiences and specific topics. Looking through my portfolio, I am able to see that I’ve not only looked back on the past, but also considered my future. I’ve also planned out how my lessons are going to adapt to 21st century learners, finding strategies to engage and guide students using current technology.

  2.  I used it to build a “lesson plan for 8th graders which explains music composition”. It laid out a clear and concise step by step plan which detailed the duration of each activity. The progression of each activity was also quite logical, though it doesn’t explain why the contents were arranged the way they were. 

  3. It should never be allowed on tests since it won’t demonstrate any grasp of content on the student's part. However, it could be a helpful tool for research and planning, possibly very effective in brainstorming the latter. As Scribr points out, it is unethical to use chatgpt if it checks copyright infringement and plagiarism, an AI detector may be employed to detect this.

First Blog Post

  Looking through the syllabus, there seems to be a lot of practical usage of technology in conjunction with classroom teaching. It includes elements of design, presentation and interactivity which are all important assets in 21st century instruction. I mainly hope to explore new ways I could interact with my class via technology, in a concise and accessible manner. With the class schedule and syllabus online, students will have much less confusion navigating through the course material.   I’ve discovered a few new things about web design features including inserting a calendar and pdf document into the slide. I’ve also found ways to make the site more interactive using social icons, as well as relevant images.  I like Weebly for its easy navigation and the many custom features it provides, differing from WIX quite a bit. The most important thing I dislike about this program is the fact that I can’t verify myself to get in.   There are many ways a teacher could use a QR code including for access to class content, contact information or activities.
